This winter has been a mild one, to say the least. We had our 1st snow of the season this past week. Many of the plants have been in spring mode with the warmth of the weather. When the snow did fall, the pansies quickly hid their faces. I think warm sunshine will be returning this weekend, to melt the snow away. Happy Friday!

Nevada City Mardi Gras Celebration

The Mardi Gras Celebration was held last weekend in Nevada City. One of the events was the parade on Sunday . The sun warmed the streets that was lined with spectators. There were floats, marchers, riders, walkers, you name it. Almost everyone had a message, but the best part of it for me was the creativity of the entrants, which I found imaginative and entraining. The joy that this event seemed to bring to everyone was contagious . If you didn’t get a chance to be there, maybe you will enjoy it through the photos.

Red and White 80th Birthday Celebration

Red and white checked table cloths, balloons, flowers decorated the center that held over 90 guests for a special birthday celebration. The theme was created with the postcard invitations that had a casual look with a masculine tone.
